Contrasting Worldviews

Welcome to the first church that does not have an offering plate, that opens its doors 24/7 to all, that has a non-denominational/interfaith charter and that practices the green environmentally-friendly telecommuting practice.

Promoting understandings and open discussions are the primary missions of InternetCongregation.org.

Huh? I don't get what you are saying here. I was asking for your opinion regarding your grandfather's faith. Since he was a Christian man, I was curious if you thought he was wrong in his belief. I also asked if you though he lead his congregation astray. Since he was a methodist preacher, I assume he believed Jesus is God and the only way to heaven as stated in John 14:6.

I hear a lot of banter going back and forth. I have to say I don’t like bullying and it appears that is what is going on here. Jim needs our support, not chiding. Jim is a good friend of mine and we go back a long way. No matter what anyone thinks, the fact of the matter is God loves Jim more than anyone in these discussions ever will (not that he needs me to defend him on that point). Jim has obviously opened his heart and spirit and God will forge his path to all truth and righteousness. I for one wholly support Jim in his quest for the truth, and love and care about him dearly.

I think you misunderstand our motives. We are not interseted in proving ourselves "right." We are, however, interested in spreading the gospel and seeing people come to a saving faith in Christ.

To whom are you interested in spreading the gospel to? On the basis of the confrontational approach you use, which is what I bring into question, I'm afraid you will be searching for an audience that will listen and receive it. You cannot force feed the truth to people. You have to relate to an audience in terms of what, and the level to which they understand.

My goal is to sow seeds. It is not my job to convince anyone of anything. God is the one who converts the heart. I want to make sure that the truth is clearly proclaimed.

thanks, brother greg. my pleasure meeting here again. many good returns. i had to leave to get away from the argumentative nature that went against the mission of love and faith.

Apparently not since you have chosen to form beliefs about him that are contrary to those in Scripture.

oh, boy. here we go again. more bickering. you know what? i'd rather not engage and have better things to do with my time than to stoop to that level.
